The Paul VornHagen Quartet opens CMC’s 2004-5 season with an evening of robust jazz with a touch of romance. Paul VornHagen, saxophones, flute and vocals, Tad Weed, piano, Kurt Krahnke, acoustic bass, and Randy Marsh, percussion present a spicy blend of jazz standards and originals including the music of Ellington, Porter, Gershwin, Parker and Monk. Savor rich improvisations, smooth and silky vocals along with dynamic lyricism. Performance credits include the Detroit-Montreaux, Michigan Festival and the Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival.
